Freedom of Speech Is Overrated

Phrases I'd like banned from our household, especially the dinner table:

"No like it."
"No like it, mama."
"I no like it."
"Cookies?"

This child is related to Roy.
He has poor eating habits and loves
the cookies and candies. Vegetables and fruit are not meant
to be eaten. REJ

REJ - The weird thing is Sarita is fine with fruits and vegetables (I have to hide the fruit so she'll eat other stuff). The problem is she won't eat soups, sauces, sandwiches, casseroles, meat, etc. So, I'll cook up a big meal, and she won't eat any of it. She wants plain vegetables, plain tofu, plain fruit, plain rice, plain cookies. I guess I should be happy - less cooking for me, but the wasted efforts frustrate me.

I only ate plain everything forever. (and fruit, as much fruit as I could get), but no food could touch, no meat ever, no cheese.

I was in college before discovering the joy of cheese and steak. and grad school before discovering sushi!!

But I did discover them and boy am I happier for it! She will pick stuff up, all you can do is keep offering and letting her know she has options.

Good luck!

I'm with you NCD. If she likes everything off the bat, there won't be anything left for her to discover. -JMF

NCD - Thanks. So, I guess there's some hope. Oh, but it drives me batty!

JMF - Oh, you always agree with NCD. Too bad she's usually right.
