Something I Definitely Never Wanted To Know

When you tell people that your dad broke his neck, they usually think you're kidding, but they don't laugh - just in case you're not.

I am sorry about your dad, I hope his recovery is rapid and complete.

Good luck and maybe he does need some ice. I think that is the solution.

anonymous - Thanks for the good thoughts. Wish we could have seen all of you, too.

N - My dad is doing well. Ice, pain killers and a stubborn disposition are amazing tools for recovery.

Tell me about it. My dad just had a huge surgery and did very poorly in the hospital, but then when he got out, pure stubbornness caused the most remarkable recovery.

And I do mean PURE stubborn. I don't know where he gets it. Especially not with my sunny complacent personality.

N - I'm glad your dad is doing well. Aren't we supposed to be worrying our parents? Somehow, things have gotten turned around.

About the personality, I'll give you sunny, but complacent, hmmm..., no comment.
