Need Ice

My dad had a run-in with a cow. Sarah's little ears have been absorbing every detail of the incident. Last night, when we were having dinner, she came up with a solution to his problem: "Grandpa fall down. Hit head. Need ice."

Ice is her solution to almost everything these days. She despises the coffee grinder and tells me that it hurts her neck when it runs. So, before I grind coffee beans, I have to hand her the ice pack from her Boo-Bear . She puts the ice to her neck and grimaces while the grinder whirs.

A couple of weeks ago, Sancho, excited by the possibility of a treat, tore through the kitchen and landed on one of Sarah's balloons. The balloon popped surprising us all. Stunned, Sarah yelled, "I! NEED! ICE!"

Ice has soothed her aches in the past. And now, she's certain it will fix grandpa, too.

Sarita, We will get LOTS of ice for
grandpa. Has anyone seen the
cow who messed with Grandpa? I heard grandpa got up, got that
cow in the shoot and branded it!
Before he even complained about
that boo-boo. I love that picture of determined Sarah.

Yes Grandpa did get the cow in the chute and branded after she tossed him over the corral. He is a tough buzzard. Had more complaints out of him about having to be in the hospital than his fractured neck. Sarita can settle him down with some ice. MKR
