A small break in the storm...

A window of calm weather opened just enough to allow Mimi and Grandpa Fife to fly in from Texas.





Good thing they made it. We needed all of their help to prep on Christmas eve.

There were notes to write. This one says: Cookies for Santa only! Carrots for reindeer only!



There were hugs to spread.



Relaxing to be had.



And princess vanity sets to assemble.



See that princess vanity set. I don't even want to talk about it. How? How could my child have taken such a dark turn in her life? Princess. Vanity. Ugh.... Both of those words burn my soul with perky, pink, glittery acid. Put them together, and I crumble like blue eyeshadow on a royal eyelid. Nevermind. Not talking about it. Let's move on to more joyful times.
