Thanksgiving '08

Wow! That holiday feels like a lifetime ago. A summary of the activities seems nearly impossible. Usually, when that's the case, I just throw out a bunch of photos and call it a day. I can't do that this time, because I really blew it. I misplaced my camera for most of the weekend. So, I only have a few photos to share.

The quick rundown is something like this. The majority of Mike's family flew in to spend the holiday with us. The cast of characters (and I don't use the term characters lightly here) were:
  • Mammaw - 80-something, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, resides in Texas. Special feature: will kick your butt at Catch Phrase
  • Linda and Troy (aka - Nana and Papa Troy) - Mike's mom and step-dad, reside in Texas. Special feature: produce delectable pies and smoked meats
  • Cathy and Kevin - Mike's sister and brother-in-law, reside in New York City. Special features: require no sleep and extremely generous (every gorgeous outfit Sarah owns has been a gift from them)
  • Parker and Caitlin - Nephew and niece, reside in New York City. Special features: too many to list
  • Marilyn and Allen - Mike's aunt and uncle, reside in Texas. Special features: able to survive without water (Marilyn) and can mountain bike like a 20-year-old (Allen)
  • Stephen - Mike's cousin, resides in Texas. Special feature: has telepathic connection with Mammaw
  • Dorothy - Mike's aunt, resides in Colorado. Special feature: can out-ski, out-hike, out-adventure anyone.
Phew! That's everyone. If you add it up, you'll discover that we had 11 visitors. With our family, that comes to 14 people and 2 dogs in this house. It was a full, happy house. Now that is something to be truly thankful for.

Here are the only photos that I snapped while on a hike at Tumalo Falls.

And that was Thanksgiving...

Had to pop out of my feeds for Cathphrase--we LOVE that game! Only problem is when we get together with extended family I had two cousins who absolutley stink at it :)

Wow, you did have a full house. It looks like although it was crazy busy, it was fun.

Great hats.
