We rode an elephant this weekend.
I think I could end this post right there. Actually, I could probably curl up on the couch, nap the rest of my remaining days and call my life fulfilled.
Mike's company had their annual summer picnic at Marine World on Saturday which turned out to be one of the hottest days in recorded history. We dealt with the heat just fine. A few ice cubes in our hats and frequent splashes in the fountains kept us cool. Oh yeah, and we took a shower. ON AN ELEPHANT. Actually, we took two showers while riding Tava the elephant, but I don't want to brag.
Sarah also had her first amusement park ride. While fun, it didn't go nearly fast or high enough for her.
The day was also packed with lions, more rides, giraffes, and junk food. Do you know what Sarah could not stop talking about? Meeting Sylvester the Cat.
And shaking Daffy Duck's hand.
A couple of guys risking heat stroke in insulated costumes top a ride on a wild African animal. The kid is strange. Yet wonderful.

now that would be a great day. Were the showers from the elephant's trunk (ick)? because that bring the cool factor way down.
Wow, look at you!! You look like a movie star on this trip. Looks like everyone had fun.
Valarie - Fortunately, the showers weren't trunk sprays. I wouldn't be bragging about that. Ugh!
N - The heat must be affecting you. We did have a good time.
wow! that looks like so much fun! i think that james would have liked the elephant better. i think he would have been scared of the giant cat! then again, he liked the easter bunny! love, carrie
ncd-I agree, a hepburn look-a-like. this one make my week although two are more beautiful than all three. xu3
