Alternative Landscaping

Since we're in an area where water conservation is an issue (really, at this point, the entire planet is such an area, but I won't go down that road right now), we've decided to replace part of our lawn with a less water hungry alternative. What do you think?



Kidding. This isn't our new landscaping. This is what happens when your elderly neighbor blacks out while driving. Seriously. A couple of days ago, our neighbor was driving down our road when he lost consciousness. His wife who was in the passenger's seat tried to stop and steer the car. In the process, they went over the boulders and tree in our neighbor's yard:



Finally, they landed and stopped on the boulders and tree in our yard:



Notice the lack of skid marks. When the man passed out, his foot pressed down on the accelerator pedal. Good thing they weren't hurt. Aging sucks.
