Grandma Angie
Grandma Angie visited us last week. Gosh, and I'm barely getting around to writing about the visit now. But let's not dwell on my lateness. Let's focus on more positive things - like the time we got to spend with Grandma Angie.
Concentrate very hard. Harder! Now, in your deep concentration, paint vivid images of trips to museums, picnics at Stanford, the sights of San Francisco, shopping excursions, lots and lots of nonstop Grandma action. It's working, right? You can see the whole trip. It's even better than if I had remembered to take my camera along. Yes! I knew it would be. The imagination is a powerful tool.
So, I did snap a few pictures, but only of our time at Crissy Field. Here's Grandma Angie with the Golden Gate Bridge as a backdrop.
My dear daughter displayed nothing but the behavior of a little lady for her grandmother, of course. Isn't she charming as she poses with Alcatraz just over her shoulder?
As we drove home from our visit to the city that day, the Golden Gate Bridge was in our direct sight at one point. This led to my favorite Sarah-ism of the weekend:
Hey! That bridge isn't gold. It's red. They should call it the Redden Gate Bridge.
Still, nothing was better than hearing that little voice say "Grandma" and run off excitedly to find her. It makes me wish that we had Grandma Angie living a lot closer to us. And I'm not saying that just because I want her delicious tortillas within reach. No. I'd like her presence and conversation to become as familiar and soothing to Sarita as they are to me. But, the tortillas. The tortillas would be a major bonus.

several votes could be mustard up for you being closer to Grandma Angie and Tortillas. I feel certain that you could get all of the tortillas you want if closer.
Yum! Homemade tortillas might be worth the move.... and your dear daughter looks awfully cute in that picture!
