Peace

Sometimes, Californians, especially the northern type, are unfairly characterized as soft, bleeding heart, granola chomping, left-wing liberals whose pastimes include sobbing at showings of Brokeback Mountain, living in trees, and legalizing drug use. I'm here to tell you that these stereotypes just aren't true.

Why just yesterday, Valentine's Day - a day devoted to expressing love and tenderness, extreme violence erupted on the streets of San Francisco: Pillow fight erupts amid shrieks, giggles.

According to the San Franciso Chronicle, nearly 1,000 people participated in the mayhem. Sporting concealed pillows, these thugs "beat the stuffing out of each other". One participant, who was reported to have been swinging the entire 30 minutes, was quoted as saying, "I had so much fun. It was great. It was amazing."

Now, I ask you. Are these the actions of a peace loving people?

Carrie - Wouldn't this be fun - especially if it were done on skis while racing down a hill! Knocking opponents off the course with your pillow would give you bonus points. It could be called something like Pillow Slalom Slam. I want to be an Olympian...
