Fort Funston

We took a trip to Fort Funston today. It was a great place to visit. There was something fun for all of the members of the Fife household.

This park is one of the most popular dog walking spots in San Francisco. Officially, dogs are supposed to be on-leash, but this hotly contested policy is being ignored at this time. So, Sancho and Lola got to run off-leash with many, many other dogs. It was truly heaven for them.



Also popular at this park is hang gliding. Mike was ecstatic about this and was ready to go, but with his current rating, he wasn't allowed to fly. He has to first <"insert technical hang gliding terms here"> before he can be approved to fly at this site. In the meantime, we all enjoyed watching the gliders soar.



For Sarah, the highlight of the day was when we let her break loose on the beach and sneak a few tastes of sand.





Overall, we had a great day. The only bummer (for Mike) was trying to get our fancy stroller out of the sand and that whole not flying part was also a bit of a downer (for Mike).
