Alternative Child Care Options

Sarah starts summer camp tomorrow. Since she's done with Overpriced Daycare, we had to come up with some sort of alternative care plan for the past week. Mike and that rocket scientist brain of his came up with the great idea of having Super Nana fly out from Texas and be our nanny. For an entire week!

I don't know how we get her to agree to these crazy ideas, but she does. What's even more shocking is that she's excited to do it!

So, I have very few photos of her visit, because can you believe it? She took Sarah on a road trip. Risking the likelihood of car sickness, seizures brought on from incessant talking and a stubborn, independent streak that could break a saint, they visited Monterey for a couple of days, picked vegetables at a farm in Salinas and even hit the Oakland zoo. And I'm pretty sure they both had a good time:

You know, Sarah doesn't hug just anyone like that.

that sounds slighlty more fun than any summer camp could possibly be. well we cant wait to see you either, perhaps the homesickness will nudge you into a visit sooner than expected.

Don't they say kids are always much better behaved for everyone other than their parents??

Sounds like she had a blast.
