Christmas Eve Ice

The biggest problem that we've run into this holiday season is the lack of time to see all of the people that we enjoy and the inability to cram all of the fun stuff that we'd really love to do into each day.

But, there was one activity that we had to make time for. So, we scurried about and wrapped our entire schedule around: ice skating! Yes, through the miracle of Christmas and some magic in an old silk hat we found, we skated outside in California today. On actual ice. Granted it was skating around Palm Trees, but still, it was skating.

Sarah was a trooper as usual. She made a few attempts at some solo skating, but mostly hung on tightly to her dad's hand. When I offered to skate with her, she sized me up, quickly recognized that my moves were as graceful as Nancy Kerrigan's right after the knee clubbing incident and grabbed her dad's hand a little tighter. Still, it was a good time for all.
