Boy Friend
Cooking and washing dishes on a Saturday morning really isn't high on my list of fun things to do - especially when the weather is perfect outside. So, we took Sancho and Sarah out to breakfast.
Last time Sancho went to this restaurant with only Mike, he performed tricks for the kids and was rewarded with tasty treats. This time, he sat under the table and sulked. He thought our kid should have stayed at home with the other annoyance, Lola.
While Mike and I enjoyed our breakfast, Sarah hung out by the fountain and made a friend - a little boy who is two days older than her.
First, they had a light conversation about the geometry of double bubble formations and whether a computational model can give valid predictions of area and form.
Then, the little boy found a perfect leaf and shared it with Sarah.
She was so touched. She had to give him a big squeeze.
The stunned little boy had no choice but to try to jump into the fountain to wash off the icky girl cooties.
Sancho perked up his ears and wished that Sarah would follow.
The end.
