What happens if you can't remember Memorial Day?

Our weekend was a whirlwind of activity. The original plan was to head up to the Sierras for some late season skiing. That plan was nixed when Mike and Sarah faked colds so that they could stick around and monkey with the electric motorcycle instead.

This actually worked out great. I got some trail running in with my mutts, and we had a fun cookout with our neighbors. But, the best part of all is that we also got to see some old friends from Southern California, the Lintereurs.

(Here's Papa Lintereur working on smores for the kids. Right after this, Sarah asked loudly, "Where did the man's hair go?" She didn't get a marshmallow.)

The last time that we saw the Lintereurs, their family consisted of six beings (two adults and four kids), but now, they have grown to a family of seven and a half (two adults, five kids and one in the oven). Their minivan has also been replaced with a cargo van. This is all great news, because prior to their family enlargement, there was no way that we could keep up with Lou and Clare. They are some seriously talented athletes. Now, we still can't keep pace with them, but at least, the triple baby joggers give them the illusion of slowness. Plus, there's always the possibility of a flat tire to give us an edge.

If that all fails, it's ok. Our secret weapon is working on sabotaging their well-behaved machine in other ways:
